Speaking entirely from personal opinion, casting porn is not necessarily a genre I want to commit to on a regular basis. It’s more of a “change of pace” genre of pornography, and as you can probably tell, it’s one I value for the interviews and revelations from porn star hopefuls moreso than the vanilla sex itself.
The Audition lacks some of the seediness present in the ubiquitous “Backroom Casting Couch” and even the mean-spiritedness of some others that need not be named, and it sometimes dazzles with very ambient cinematography.
But where The Audition really shines is in its cast of mostly champions, particularly in Alli Rae and Megan Rain, who showcase a lot to where you can’t believe they wouldn’t become stars in such a difficult industry.
The tremendously disappointing closer and some lengthier-than-necessary positions aside, PornPros’ attempt at casting pornography is interesting and competently entertaining.
